Randy’s journey into the garage door profession began when his father-in-law, Doyle Benton, offered him an opportunity to join Hollywood-Crawford Door Co. in 1981. Starting with installing garage doors, Randy’s journey within the company has been marked by continuous growth and leadership.
Over the years, Randy has immersed himself in every aspect of the business, showcasing his dedication and expertise.

His contributions extend beyond his company’s walls, as Randy has been actively involved in industry associations, notably serving on the board of directors for the International Door Association (IDA) for a total of 13 years.
His leadership journey culminated in the presidency of IDA from 2015 to 2017. Recognized for his outstanding commitment, Randy was honored with the IDA Jerry R. Reynolds Volunteer Leadership Award in 2009, alongside three Presidential Service Awards.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Randy finds joy in serving at his local church alongside his wife, where they actively participate in the children’s department and provide support during church services. Family holds a significant place in Randy’s life, as he cherishes spending time with his children and grandchildren. An avid basketball enthusiast, he relishes pick-up games at the church gym with his sons, son-in-law, and grandson.
