The whole issue was likely caused by the install of incorrect springs by a now-defunct garage door company I had previously used. “Wow, I can see why this company gets so many five star ratings. When I called they told me they would get someone out for an estimate the same day in between other jobs they were working. That was my first good surprise. A technician came by within a couple of hours after calling ahead. He quickly confirmed the problem and gave me a price quote. I authorized the work and expected that it would be scheduled for later, but again to my surprise he was able to get to work right away. Besides doing a perfect job on replacing the door spring, he performed a complete inspection. It was an absolute pleasure to have him work on our garage door.”
